the guy i got this from said that when he bought it all of his friends had 550's and when they rode his fx-1 it scared them. i guess it was way too much of a jump in power.

I ride surf only, and havent done much to the ski. Works great for me, but flatwater would prob be a different story.

all i ride is flat, but i look forward to the 30 to 40 mph winds and of course any big cruiser that is out.
i once got a complete fx-1 in very nice shape minus a motor for $60.
i then traded it for a brand new b pipe at riva.

pulled the head and the pistons are seized. what is the best way to get the pistons out of the cylinders? do i need to pull the cases apart first and unbolt the cylinder from the cases and hit them with the but of a hammer, wood of course.
I know a guy who paid $800 for one in similar shape and had to drive 5 hours to get it without a trailer. So yeah smoking deal man good job. Another comparison I bought mine w/trailer $1800 Good motor and all but stock rock. Most people dream of finding an FX1 for a grand and you just did it for $100 NICE!!! Yes they have been used for freestyle. One of Jetts videos has a run with one in it for the 95 AM freestyle. I personally however am putting more into my SJ for freestyle than the FX
Your gonna love it then even with stock motor and prop you can hop that thing easy as hell! Nice distance off boat wakes too:biggthumpup:
