i am basing this strictly of what ive heard and nothing else but ive heard you can run them hotter and drier then the aluminum chambers.
I know this thread started a while back but since it's been bumped, I'll comment on this post to keep the facts straight... PS - No offense linden.
If anything, you'd be able to run the aluminum chambers hotter than composite. In an all aluminum construction, your coupler is the limiting factor as it can only handle about 400°F. I don't know what the Factory pipes are made but I'm guessing 6061 since it's cheap and weldable. 6061 has a melting point around 1000°F. Even heat tolerant resin can barely handle 200°F so it doesn't matter what the fabric is since the resin breaks down first. Supersonic aircraft will often use higher temperature resins that can handle 400°F but even that is intermittent and not sustained temps...and it's VERY expensive ($200 per yard for a resin film) so you can pretty much guarantee they aren't using that stuff.

Thanks. I think a lot of people think they can run a carbon chamber hotter because it feels cooler and / or doesn't sizzle like the aluminum chamber. That's because the carbon doesn't conduct heat nearly as well and keeps it all in.

Matt, you are right......first test carbonchamber with aluminumwaterbox and a little bit water in stinger pipe feels much cooler than waterbox. Think temeratures inside not higher but heat dosnt go outside off carbonchamber.

Ps: RL-Carbonchamber fits in SJ hull. You must use karttank and move waterbox a little bit .

so to run your pipe hotter just must run it dryer.... so why not buy a dry pipe as it will be cheaper to by a dry pipe than one of these chambers....

Ok, but all the guys they bought ahull from me had a bpipe......so it was easyer/cheaper to build a good working chamber for bpipe. I can send one to try it.

I work on a carbondrypipe to. But dont know it works. Resin hold 130'C. Exhausttemps are around 250-350'C. Hope the waterjacket colds the exhaust throught inner carbon. Otherwise i weld the first cone from aluminum and lay contercone and waterjacket with carbon......

Im using a carbon wcf chamber with bottom screw and middle closed top is 3/4 open i think. Chamber works well compared to every aluminum chambered skis ive ridden. It did have a crack when i got it from being tightened too much but i fixed it and havent had a problem since. It does have a slightly different sound than an aluminum chamber tho
