I have a rokr with a 700 Yamaha engine and am looking for info on the charging system how it works and troubleshooting the system it crapped out on me and not having luck with the search function

Kindv'e general post/question there. Maybe a little less general would get ya some help like Hink suggested. Maybe the guy you bought it from could help if he is the one that put it together. Did you try to contact him/her?.

The problem is when the ski is running it is not charging the battery put a multimeter on the battery and all I'm reading is the battery volts not the 14.4 that I should get out of the charging system. I'm away from home for around 5 days so when I get back I'll look more in to it

First step open electrical box and ohm green wires to the lightning coil. Wiggle stator wires also while ohm testing, have seen it ohm good and not charge because stator wires were bad to the coil. Always remember the charge coil does not charge the battery the lightning coil does. If coil ohms good 1.1 to 1.4 then swap out a voltage regulator and test that it's charging before putting electrical box together.

My 1st step on a used am ski would be to make sure someone didn't ghetto rig total loss or some other backyard rigging. Some people do some goofy things to get cheap power. Lol.
