changing head

Hey everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has any how-to on installing a used aftermarket head (MRD w/ 38cc domes). I'm new to wrenching on jet-skis and was wondering if there are any major do's/don'ts.

DO - torque the head bolts in the correct pattern

I guess I should have mentioned which ski - 2004 Superjet

Make sure all the O-Rings look good.
Use some vaseline on them to get them to stick to the head during install.
Torque head and girdle bolts (if any) in the proper sequence, to the right numbers.
Install the right sparkplugs.
Your stockers are now too short.

Get yourself a shop manual if you don't have one. It will have most, if not all, of what you'll need to know including exploded part diagrams. If you search for 'manual' there was a recent thread with links to some free ones that you can download.
