changing footholds?

i currently have blowsion digger footholds and in the future i want to put in xft holds. how hard would it be to rip the old ones out and put new ones in? what all would have to be done before i could install new holds?

use a dremal with a rotozip bit to cut out the old ones. Take the new ones and place them where they will be installed. If there are gaps from where the old holds were cut out, then you will need to either build that area back up then install new footholds or install new footholds and then lay glass over the gaps. I would also refoam first if you go this route, let the new foam come through the gaps, once dry, sand smooth and lay glass cloth or matting across the old void where the foam has been smoothed out, that way you have something to lay the glass up against.......

If you used foam after your install last time they could be a problem. I used a dab of spray can foam and when I removed my footholds the foam held them in so good I destroyed the edge all the way around trying to pry them out. even stress cracked the side of the ski I was prying so hard..

yea i used 2 part foam from uscomposites.

just tear em' out, I just ripped out my Blowsion kickers and modifed them and reinstalled them to be much larger. Size 12 and kickers way to small.
