Chainsaw to the Knee Cap

Bought some lake property over the past year and been working on clearing it out when I have time. Today I was by myself since all my "friends" decided they can't help whenever I need it. Was still early in the morning(not a morning person at all)...within the first 30 minutes the chainsaw got me.

This wasn't my first time using one..I have plenty of experience...chainsaw kicked out I guess..really not sure what happened because it happened so fast.

I immediately walked across my lot and loaded the trailer up, threw the durango in 4wheel drive to get off my lot and booked it back home(about 45 miles). I had wrapped a tshirt over it when it started to bleed.

Took 20 stitches. Luckily it didn't tear anything up. Will post up pictures later when I figure out how to upload them from my phone.

Pictures aren't the greatest...had to use the camera phone.

Damn so what a 30-45 minute drive with a cut to :):):):) knee? That sucks, hope it heals fast.

Im not exactly sure what that means..but the drive sucked a bit. At that point I really had no clue if it was bad or not(had wrapped it up with my tshirt right after it happened without looking at it)...stomach was very upset.

Doc said I should be able to hit the water in 2 weeks. Thanks

Good buddy of mine climbs trees for a living, he cound bring down a 150 foot fir tree in 30 minutes. On one job a few years ago he was near the top and yelled down he nicked his leg near the groin, bled out in less than a minute and died right there with his brother helpless on the ground.

how the hell did you do that? What are you doin cuttin over your leg? Circular saws are dangerous if you don't know how to use one. Especially a worm drive.

It's not cutting on the knee, just the knee getting too close to where you're cutting. ie. you're using it as a lever.
Then someone invented blocks for that purpose. :lmao:

I cut almost everything off my foot. If you cut your lumber on edge it won't bind and kick either. I think a skill saw is alot more dangerous than a chainsaw because people generally feel safer with a skill saw and use em a little more carelessly

Yep. I know what you're talking about. If you ride in that water enough, it will take longer for the injury to finish healing and definitely leave a scar.

Ouch..the circular saw sounds painful!

My knee is mostly healed up. I rode the standup all weekend...cut looked crazy when it got cold. Was all purple and nasty.
