CDI on 760 engine

Hi,
I am running a stock 701 CDi with some static advance one the rotor (between 3 an 5 degrees).
I would like to know if a MSD enhancer would work better than this setup ?
Is there a difference between 701 and 760 CDI ??

Yes, there's difference. I don't believe you can use the 760 CDI on 701 electrics.

you cant the 760 is a digital system where the 701 is an analogue
damn i wish they would fit the 760 system to the superjet

No. The Yamaha Enhancer is for 650/701 only. There is no 760 model.

so if you can run the 701 electronics on a 760 cylinder.. why did they change?

Because the 650/701 electronics SUCK ASS.

It's an antiquated unprecise analog system.

they used a different flywheel and brought the pick up and stator out to the front of the ski
its alot better system
