The dang intake grate bolts went through my pump shoe causing cavition. Anyone else have this problem? how did you do to fix it?

Cavitation is when the prop slips usually caused by a disturbance in the flow of water through the pump tunnel and pump, but not always. The wrong pitched impeller, bad splines on drive shaft can cause cavitation to. To see if you are cavitating go ride your ski if the engine revs as you give it gas but you don't go anywhere you have a cavation problem. kind of like after it rains and your car tires spin if you give it to much gas. The engine revs tires spin and you don't go far. Same thing but just on water.
