Carbon fiber work on parts

I need to extend this carbon auto fender in the circled area about 3 to 4mm only while preserving the original shape. It will be painted once modified.
What are you all thinking is the best way to do this?
Open to all suggestion .

I would probably make a cut somewhere at the bottom, move the piece where I wanted it and fill in the gap with carbon fiber using about 1" overlap on each side if that makes any sense to you .

Good idea . Need to separate the carbon from the alloy braces ,move pieces , glue it back to alloy and fill in gap .

Possibly, extend the aluminum with a slightly thicker and longer piece? If its going to be painted, there should be nearly no line to notice. Just an idea.
