Super Jet Carb tuning / jetting stock 701 w 38's and Coffman pipe

I just put on a Coffman stinger on my snsj. My motor is stock w 38's. And I am wondering if I need to re jet or just tune. I put on the pipe and of course runs great out of water lol. I dropped it in today and it was bogging down big time and stalling the motor. Can I take the jets out of a set of 44 I have that we're originally on a 650 bored to 660 that had the same pipe. I did a wave blaster sn engine swap and took the pipe off the 660 and put em on my 701 haven't put the 44's on because I need a manifold for them all I have is the stick 38's and manifold as of now was going to put the 44's on when I buy a new head and do it all at once

Tim Z just modded a pair of 38's and jetted them for me and i am running a Coffmans Lightning. I'll let you know when i get them,should be in a couple days

Bpipe - 135 high, low 72.5-75, depending on your motor ported non ported, etc. - maybe that helps

I think the last post is probably your best bet. I have a ported 710 and Tim Z set my carbs up at 80 low, 145 high, 1.5 N/S, 95 gr spring. popoff is about 28. Hope it helps

I have a similar setup and I jetted just like I had a bpipe.. Seems to work quite well
