i just rebuilt my oem/mikuni 44 on my 95 sj. hoping that i didn't get myself into a sh_t storm by doing this. u know the saying that "the enemy of good is better."
my concern is the check valves. it took some effort to get the grommet and the check valve to go back into place. i'm afraid it won't seat properly since i worked it pretty good. u guys have any experience replacing these? eyeballing it, it seems to lay flat on the valve seat. i placed it with the concave going towards the carb body or away from the fuel pump. the old one seemed to have some small areas where it looked crimped or bunched up slightly???
