Carb linkage gap - Novi Tech 48's

I picked up a pair of 2 year old Novi Tech 48's and I'm happy with the carbs as they arrived, but when I dropped them onto a ported Riva intake mani I plan to use the butterfly shafts where spaced out far too wide for the Novi tech billet linkage to engage.

Is this a manifold tolerance thing, or are these carbs setup for Kawi's or something?

I have been running them for over 10 years now. Only replaced 1 color that cracked from over tightening. The Novi Coupler is nice. But for you to run them you would have to replace your shafts. This coupler only cost about $20.00

Thanks BK. Those things don't undergo any kind of torsional flex compared to the billet ones?
No, they are very stiff and the spacer in the middle is sold extra long so you can cut to fit.

I like the clamping ones that JSS sells the best, the set screw ones can be finicky to get exactly synced especially if your throttle shaft has any marks from previous couplers.
