Carb fuel return nipple

Question.. I want to turn the fuel return nipple towards the rear so the fuel line will be more out of the way. I already tried but I didn't put too much pressure because I didn't want break it off. Are they screwed in or are they pressed in and not able to be turned?

Those brass NIPPLES, yeah I said it too, should spin as they are just pressed in. I always use an adjustable wrench to spin them the way I want them to point.

They are pressed in, I personally wouldnt turn it being that i have broken one off before.

You can turn them, but you do not want turn them by the nipple. You have to do it from the opposite side.

His carb looks new, or low hours, so he should be safe.

I believe a 5/16 will fit perfectly.

WAIT!!!!
Don't just turn them!! They will break... You must pull them straight out first then turn them and lightly hammer them back in at the new position.
These fittings have a spline on them 1/3 last of the press in nipple!!

Damnit!!! Too late. It turned relativelly easy but in doing so it came out slightly. I taped it back in with a small rubber mallet.
