I know what it is and what it does but dunno why replace the stock one? is it mostly for making two singles into dual carbs on the cheap or is there a purpose?
I did some searching and found some mention of backlash but saw no definitive post on this subjet.
I am rebuilding and rejetting some 44's and saw a coupler when I ordered my jets, it was on the parkeryamaha website so i ordered it but don't know if I really need it...

Maybe i wasnt paying attention but i thought the stock setup had e a big metal clip, is it to reduce the clutter on the carbs so they can be adusted easier?
