Ok, here is a 44 mikkuni carb. What are the little holes at the bottom? What is the line coming from the middle? And, anyone heard of these guys? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Matt

Fuel in = bottom
Return = top
pulse line = back

Holes at the bottom, look like some sort of atomization gimick.

Boswell carb, most people say they are junk but some say they run well.

The founder of Boswell is in jail on fraud charges.

It looks like your 44mm Boswell Carb is the spigot mount style and I wouldn't even consider using it on a two cylinder engine because of vibration problems.

I also heard it was a pain to get them dialed-in properly but once tuned they performed very well.

If you really want to use this carb contact Tim at zforce227@aol.com he used to work for Boswell Carbs.

Rickster, The fuel line connections you stated are WRONG! The top fuel line fitting is always the return! Just remember this... air bubbles alway float up, so the top fitting will always be the return bleed to purge air bubbles and pressure drop after engine is shut down.
Yes, Boswell's were Hi tech in the day, but as he got crazier with his mods they didn't work as well, I did learn to make them work, but I had to take away some of what he did to them, I have some of his technology that I applied to some of my freestyle carb set-ups. Any of you guys that I have set-up motors for, have felt this technology!
