Can you use Windows Movie Maker with the GoPro HD?

Prolly buying the GoPro HD in the next few weeks. Just wondering if I can still edit footage using Windows Movie Maker or will I have to buy another editing program? Thanks in advance!

Charlie I don’t know the answer to your question but before you drop a lot of cash on a GoPro HD keep in mind that even though the Go Pro HD has excellent footage clarity when viewed individually, when the footage is loaded up through You tube or Vimeo the quality is reduced to something similar to footage filmed by your 5mp Go Pro. And since the Go Pro you currently use has a fish Eye lens and the Go Pro HD is only available with a Fish Eye lens, It would be just like your purchasing the same camera that you already have. Just my .02 cents but I think you would be better off if you were to get a Go Pro 5mp with a regular lens so you can add a varity of camera angles to your movies as well as save yourself a few bucks.

I hope it's just a matter of time before they come out with a regular lens. Charlie that vid I posted was with the hd set for minimal fish eye. I do like it a lot, but would rather not have it (wide angle) sometimes. But back to the original question. I can't see why it would not. Maybe (worst case) look for a gopro forum...
