Can you lube a steering cable?

I know this is a silly question, but the blaster I just bought has a tight steering cable. Its not stuck, but its tighter than any of my other skis. I disconnected it at both ends to make sure it was the cable and not the steering or nozzle. I know theres ways of lubing cables on bikes and quads, has anyone tried this? Maybe I just need to go ride the crap out of it.

I do lube mine cause I ride in the salt and it's as we all know it's corrosive as hell... I just cram the straw that comes w/ the lubricant up to the edge of the sleeve and spray as much as I can while moving the cable back and forth... that will bring some lube into the area, but the ones made for cables look like they would work good as long as they fit.

edit... Rramjet had it.. good to know.

I like to get some tubing that fits snuggly over the end of the cable and is long enough to extend past the smaller threaded rod. Get a tube that is long enough to hold some lubricant, fill that up with your lube of choice and force it down the cabe with compressed air. Do that several times
