Get another job man! $25 are you serious?

Next snowfall shovel a few driveways. You arn't riding in MI tomorrow anyways...

Donations should be reserved for those in dyer need. Like medical bills, funeral costs, or anything else that you wish you never had to go through.

Not for a bilge or pisser fitting. And you've been offered them for $5.

This is riduculous...

X2 really WTF................How old are you do your parents know you are bagging for change?

uh, shipping some 650 motor parts will cost you as much as searching the 'for sale' section and just buying the stuff. Or make a WTB thread in the WTB section, not a beg thread in general section.
I ran one of those ugle white plastic bilge outlets for 2 years. Maybe you need to take up the $5 offer from SJ113 on the first page & be happy.

See thats my point, people ask other to donate parts for their ski's.Im asking for one little thing and people are taking it as if im asking for a ********ing motor.

Perhaps it has something to do with that nice, new paint job. My ski's has most of what I want, but none are custom painted. This is a choice I've made, to start with go, not show. I also have an amazing mechanic/builder for a hubby. This has saved us TONS of money. But, I never asked anyone for anything. I have had people give me stuff and refuse to take money, but I did not ask, they decided to give.

If you had posted, "Does some one have XXXXX cheap?" You probably would have had a dozen guys wanting to help. But that's not what you did. You got on here acting like a charity case, but yet you have a custom painted ski. Hmmmmmmmm. Don't wonder why you got the reactions you did.

So you qualify for cheaper parts than everyone else? I think I am just tired of all these beg threads of people wanting parts donated for skis that have been sitting or haven't been riden-BUT its so and so's ski so we all have to help and its not for small parts either. I don't care if you are the best rider in the world get a job like everyone else and get your ski running. If my ski breaks and I can't afford to ride....guess what-I am downgraded to picture taker and ride bummer until its complete.

Like someone mentioned before post in the WTB section.

No its not the same. He is posting can I have something for free because I have no money.... You can't rely on people to put parts on your ski for free or give you hand outs. I bet if he just asked in the WTB section someone would have given him one. It's all in how you ask and not to expect and say that we should all sell him something cheap because he has no money. I think a lot of the people on the board problably don't have money laying around otherwise we would all be running aftermarket hulls and 66e motors.

This thread has officially reached the level of retarded.

It's pretty sad that right off the bat almost, someone offered him the parts he needs for 5 dollars shipped, and everyone is still in here trying to teach him a life lesson. It must not be that big of a deal if MULTIPLE people have offered to help him out, yet everyone else seems to have something to say about it. It's crap.

And to the poster, take the offer and sitdown. It's time to let this one go. You got what you NEED.

just because he bought a already painted ski dosent mean much, mines getting done right now and its costing me nothing but the price of the paint

Just making the point. He can afford to buy the ski, but can't afford to buy a few minor parts to finish? I don't buy it. I got some very nice used fittings for one of my skis. They're not in new condition, but they're fine for me.

The ski came painted that way, i would never pay to have a ski painted.

Good for you.

Well said, Katie. Let's face it, these fittings cost less than a single day of riding cost in gas, oil, etc. I suspect it just hit people wrong how you worded your first post.

I happen to be very lucky. I have a very good job that pays pretty well. But I've also put in countless hours to make it through my education, worked while I was in high school, undergrad, and vet school, worked as much as 70-80 hours a week in the past, etc. I've put in my blood, sweat, tears and time, I've earned what I've got. I completely understand that you are not even old enough to have had the opportunity to have gotten where I am.

But it irks me to see someone begging for parts because they don't have a job. Perhaps you need to temporarily lower your standards and take whatever job you can find. We have all worked jobs we didn't like, weren't in our field of expertise, etc. I worked at a convenience store that made pizza and donuts while I was in veterinary college. We were so poor, we were eating beans and rice and pasta most of the time. I know more ways to fix beans and rice than anybody else I know. I've been so poor that we had to scrounge the car and the couch for change for gas to get to school and work. I've been there, done that and never even asked my PARENTS for money the whole time.

My hubby and I helped sponsor a son of a neighbor to get to world finals standup racing one year. The only time we've been to Havasu was to take AJ.

Ask for a few parts cheap, if I had 'em, I'd send 'em. Ask for them free, you can kiss my lilly white.

Like Katie, rant off.
