can stock steering work with an xmetal pole?

I've got an x-metal pole and no steering. is there anyway to get stock steering to work with it?

I've got no steering and a xmetal pole. how do I go from here to riding for the least moneys.

I run a stock steering setup on an XMW pole but it required drilling out the pole to fit. I like it much better than a bearing setup plus it was CHEAP.
