I'm looking into buying a used 1996 superjet and the person who owns it sent me these pictures of The cylinder, he says the compression is 200/190 an the previous had a rebuild 20 hours from now (doesn't now if it was top or bottom end....) I showed the pics to the motorcycle mechanic at my work he said they where shot, I'm 16 trying to get into the sport this would be my first ski so I don't want to have to spend boatloads of money repairing it. Any help is appreciated.

Nobody here can say by looking. Many will say the bore is shot, time more a bore and new pistons. You might get away with a good hone and new rings if the bore is not out of spec.

That's a 5% difference in compression, I would buy it with the knowledge that it needs a topend personally. That way if it doesn't you are money up on the deal.
