I'm swapping motors and putting a 750 in my X2. I plan on running 650 electronics and I'd like to sell the SX and do this swap as cheap as possible so can I put the 750 electronics on the 650 engine when I put it in the SX?

Keep the 750 ignition. It's much better than a 650.
Down the line you can change cdi to get timing curves suited for your set up.

you will need to put the 750 stator, pickup and statorcover on the 650. The entire system must go over
I plan on using the entire 650 system on the 750, flywheel, stator, everything. That only leaves the 750 system. Thanks for the info

Wouldn't it be easier to just use the 650 system than messing with the cdi??? I could be way off since I don't know squat about the electronics.

Not to start a pissing match but the old 750 ignitions suck. the 96 and newer are good but prior to that the stator are about as unreliable as they get. I've got a shelf full of bad ones. Not to mention the benifit of the lighter 650 flywheel.

I wasn't concerned with which system was a better system. I'm firmly convinced that the 650 electronics are better which is why I plan on using them on my X2 with the 750 motor. I'll also be sending my 650 flywheel to Paul to have it lightened even more  My only question was weather the 750 system would work on the 650 and what all I needed to do in order to make the transfer.
