Can enhancers be repaired?

I have an MSD enhancer I pulled out of my boat a couple of years ago. I got water in the e-box and had issues. I dried it out and cleaned up all the connections. I put the msd back in and the boat would run totally fine for about 5 minutes then start to miss and quit.
I pulled the enhancer out and have been running my stock modified since then.

Is there any fixing it or is it total trash?

You cannot fix anything internal to the Enhancer.
But what you describe sounds more like a stator problem. The stock CDI seems more forgiving with out-of-spec stators.

I totally agree with what Matt_E said there.

if the enhancer works at all, it is probably OK.

You will kill it running it with the weak or diminished stator output though.

I killed one enhancer by letting it sit in a E box full of water over the whole winter.

I do have my motor torn down right now so it is a good time to look at the stator really close.
One thing I noticed when I pulled it apart.......There were a couple spots on my Accel flywheel that looked like they had actually rubbed on the pick ups. I looked closer and it looks like the flywheel has swelled a little. Almost like something inside it has rusted and expanded.
From what I can tell the Accel flywheel looks just like Jetinetics.
I have been running it for a long time, but this made me raise an eyebrow.

Yeah, I figured the water was causing the irratic spark. It almost acted like the key had sheered on the flywheel. It was just jerking big time.

I had hoped after I cleaned it out and dried things off that it would be okay.
