If you really wanted to you could compete w/ you kawi. Here's what you should do IMO. Sell the kawi, by a squarenose sj ( you wont regret it), then add the basic mods if it doesnt already have them( ie. footholds, prop, grate, straight bars, aftermarket head, porting, stuff like that), then gor practice til you hate jet skiing and then go do a contest:Banane01:. In freestyle there is 2 classes. AM and PRO. the guys in AM are rolling but not backflipping, the guys in PRO are doing everything.

ok man but y should i get a squarenose sj and not a new one....ALSO y are the sj's soo much better? and my kawi already is a 650 with a 750 motor and it is ported w/ wisco pistons, boysen reeds, head, bars, pump, grate, rideplate, holds, everything u can think of. y cant i use that and do u think i have any chance in competing? i can almost do a full barellrole...i land on about my ankle but can ride out of it and make it look compleate but i kno it aint..lol

the superjet is the ski to have if you want to be competitive not saying you cant on the 650 kawi but you just wont understand untill your ride a superjet.
If youve got the cash spend it on a new one

Well from the sound f it your ski is pretty good. I would give competing a try on your kawi and see how you do. Then if you got the cash get a roundnose sj or a squarenose. If you got the cash get a RN but there is no point in buying a new one. O, and stop typing "y" for "why":cool2:

well i mean does it look like i have any chance on my kawi? or will it just be a huge waste of time and effort and money? and yea i have rode an old squarenose and didnt think it was so grest...i mean it is so easy to ride!! is that supposed to be a good thing??

i started out on a 750sx and i traded up for the roundnose sj. if you have got the kawi mastered and you can barrel roll you have just as good of a chance as any1 else. the only way you will find out is watching a competion and see where you stand or just go out and compete.

you buy one used bcuz it costs less, i bought mine new, they come stock with a 701. a RN is a roundnose superjet the 96-present years a SN is squarenose superjet early models up to 1995

SN = squarenose (1990-1994)
RN = roundnose (1996-Current)

SJs are more powerfull then 650s. Your 750 engine seems setup right but the hull is a holding ya back. SJs what we have called "Throw-ability"

Your have the same chance as everyone else in AMs. If you can toss that 650 better than anyone else out there. Your set.

It's fun regardless of how you place. I suggest coming to Region 7 when you can. You'll find more competetors and other happy to help you.

Feal free to IM me on AIM if ya need

Yes, I compete

Region 7 - SouthEast

Amature Freestyle(There is only AM(800cc Limit, No Hulls) and PRO(Pretty much anything goes)

Basic engine mods - pipe, prop, grate, porting, reeds, head

Others however are on the limit of being ilegal but still play fair, others are actually ilegal but is never bothered unless its world finals.

My advice. Look for a SJ, but if you cans till do tricks on your 650....by all means DO IT. Competeing is so much fun!

i thought about competing in region 6. i asked around and was told noone else competed in freestyle last year in the region. also looking into it, its not worth it to ME to pay 50 bucks each round to compete for 2 minutes when i can ride all day with my friends elsewhere.

edit, i think joe ekhart might have competed the first round or two with noone else showing up. after that noone did it.
