Can-Am / Harbor Beach Thanks (same post as PWCT)

Well, yet another Maritime Festival has come and gone at Harbor Beach, MI. This one ranks right up there with all the others: at the top of the list.

I once again had a great time and saw the usual faces, along with a slew of new ones that had never experienced this site. Thank you for coming out to check out what I consider one of the premier sites for PWC racing in this country. The racing, ramp jump, and general competition was intense! The talent was there and I really appreciated seeing all of you on our hometown (kinda) course. It was great to see you and I hope you return!

Stoyer - love the ride. That's custom.

Thanks also to the City of Harbor Beach for welcoming us with open arms as you do every single year. That means so much more than you think it does to the ones in the know. I will always make this stop because of your hospitality. Al K - you're the bombdiggity!

Thanks to Pat and Jacque for coming together to make this a great round and a great event. Because of your reunion, I believe this to be the largest turnout to date this year for racing. Thanks for a very professional, very cool event! On a side note, this was the first awards ceremony in my racing career I have EVER missed. Go figure - my name was called for the NOVI carbs giveaway. Although I really had to get my daughter home, I will be pi$$ing and moaning for at least a month because on my ONE absence I lose out. Sons of b!t@he$ grrrrrrr....

Speaking of sponsors, thank you to all those that came forward to make this event what it was: SPECTACULAR. Although the weather sucked the first day, we had a great Sunday and a great weekend overall because of your generosity. Thanks NOVI (grrrrr), Hydro Turf, Skat Trak, Monster Energy, etc etc etc etc. I know I'm missing many, but thank you nonetheless.

Finally, huge thanks to all those who came out in support of Mike Janssen. From what Borycki says, he's improving and will keep us updated. Support in this community for a fallen rider is ever so much appreciated. We'll hopefully see MJ next year in Can-Am

That's all for now. I have about 1000 pics I took of some races and will post some here. In about a week, I should have some up on www.pwcpartshop.com as well, so check there IN ABOUT A WEEK. There are a buttload of them, so It'll take awhile for me to organize. If you see yourself in a race and want one, I can blow them up to 13"x19" or bigger (banner size), so email me and we'll work something out.

Thanks again to EVERYONE associated in any way with my favorite race ever. See you in Celina!

I came up for a little on Firday night, slept in the back seat of my car in the pits, watched some race action and ramp jumping saturday morning, I left after the freetyle event and drove back home. Seemed like a good time, nice area although the weather sucked the whole time I was there. It was a good time nonetheless. :cool2:

your the man starvin, its too bad both myself and Mikey J were absent from competition at the can/am. i was looking forward to putting on a ramp jump show again.
im going to visit Mikey tomorrow, we raised almost 3gs on the weekend which is awesome, ill let everyone know how he is after i see him.

Wicked great time this weekend gang...gorgeous race venue, great food, tons of fun, some of the most welcoming and friendly attitude I've ever experienced at any race venue - ever - from the locals, and the entire gamit of weather conditions.

Crawled through the door last night at midnight (3:00 a.m. Harbor Beach time) and am back at work now. I've got a ton of pics to DL....I mean TONS - especially great shots of the ramp jump (I tried to get every single rider over that bad boy)...I'll dump themall (high def) into my Photobucket account and add the link here so you can download at your leisure. Hope you enjoy.

Thanks again to AlK, Jaque, Pat and their entire team - the west-coasters had a stallar time and like Arnie says "we'll be back"!

Ok so I pulled a full day shift at the trauma centre today.
Olga and his mom Wilma are looking so positive and strong it made me feel alot better. He was breathing a little on his own but the machine is still doing a bit. Hes slowly weaning off the coma medicine and was twitching his eye lids and forehead sometimes. He even coughed sometimes to help clean his lungs. He did have pneumonia and is being treated for that as well. Thank you to everyone for there autographs his table in the room likes the awards at havasu. For the last visit tonight we had around 20 people from the pwc community there to visit. It was very positive.

I will be there tomorrow again hopefully and will give a update.

Thanks again

Robbie

HarborBeachCanAmCup089.jpg

Whatever yo do Mr. Course Marshall...DO NOT GET WET! LOL!
HarborBeachCanAmCup090.jpg

So he dove for the bow eye...(no bow eye, no race!)
HarborBeachCanAmCup091.jpg

Poor 85 boat...After a nice rinse, his pistons were very clean...

And it's off to the pits where he had it up and running again within about 10 minutes...
