Fun with cageless top end bearings!

I love stuff like that.

Forgive me for the stupid question, but why are cageless bearings sought after? I would think the cage adds strength to the needles? On cageless, are the needles themselves larger?

Try putting a steering box together when all the balls fall out of the worm gear. Fun fun fun

More bearings = more load pressure.

Cages are just a waste of space and extra weight that's not needed IMO.

The cageless bearings are actually smaller in diameter and wider than the ones with cages.

They should make them for the big rod end too because they seem to fall out quite frequently.

Just put these in my 865 as a precaution after 600 Litres fuel - but to be honest the caged bearings i took out looked brand new.
