Buoy anchors?

What do you guys use to anchor your buoys on a course with?

I gotta come up with 8 anchors for buoys. Trying to get ideas of cheap anchors.

I used to use gallon milk jugs filled with concrete, quick and easy tie off to the jug handle and throw it where ya want it

Old free weights. Bricks tend to break in transit. Are you located in NC?

We cut up 4 inch diameter PVC into 10 inch sections filled them with concrete and then put an eye hook at one end while the concrete was settling.

Bricks work best, just wrap the line around the brick it will unwrap when you drop it and end up at the perfect length. I found anything heavier than a brick can sink the bouy if the rope is too short. We use them in a river too.

dumb bells work the best but not the cheapest way to do it. I like the PVC idea
