building a paint booth at home

Well I am finally going to get busy at home our paint shop at work is alway's full and when it's not I don't want to go in there on a weekend and work so I have now almost got one at home it's 20' x 12' I have the ventilation fan's and the light's check it out.

HAHA I had to go back and look at the pic's the light bar's I use to run moonshine and those help alot lol. jokes those are from old firetruck's I have a collection of old siren's and light's we alway's put on quite a show for new year's every year and I have not gotten everything cleaned up yet those two light's are going to the scrap dumpster.

When I painted my jeep last weekend, my painting booth was made out of $10 in plastic sheets and a box fan under the garage door. Amazingly, the fan kept the room clear and the plastic held all the overspray. The makeshift room started to fog up at the same time as the spray gun ran out of paint so all worked well. Here are a couple quick pics...

PS - Yours will probably last a whole lot longer though. :biggthumpup:

Nice Work Yeah I have done that before to and it's well earned, I just need a place designated for the mess ya know. I love that color blue you painted the jeep nice job man.

Thanks. Good luck with your booth. Just make sure the place is well lit and well vented and you'll be all set.

I have 6 more light's to put 3 down each sidewall and then finish the ventilation boxes to hold the filter media. I will paint the inside white and then let the build's begin. I gotta see if I can beat WFO and finish a build J/K lol

sick room. I've been thinking of making a painting booth in my three car garage w/ white sheets from state surplus (from the ferry system). My jetski needs a new paintjob!

Nice... just be sure to use an air filter on the exhaust fan or you'll be painting the stuff outside too.

Finally got back to work on the paint booth Tanner, Colin, and Anthony have been putting in the time to finally finish our booth, I am real happy with it actually I need to finish the filter media box on the inside of the exhaust fan so as #.O mentioned not to paint the outside.My good friend Dirtyoz alway's bail's me out on the electrical work I have to plumb the air and some small odd's and end's, then TanMan will start his SN freestyle build. I am really looking forward to having a designated space to do this type of work at home.

What's the SN freestyle build? Just wonderin cause i have a freestyle SN up in Juneau. You enjoyed this last week didnt you!?!? More wonderful weather coming!!!

I'm not planning on modifying my ski more but next summer I should be making bank, thinking of dropping big $$ on a nice big bore engine if i dont buy i home.
