Build help - fuel tank q's

Ok my B.A.M. build was moving right along until i ran into the fuel tank snag. I have a cold fusion filler neck and it appears that it will be too tall the clear the hood with the stock tank.
IMG_2839.JPG IMG_2840.JPG option #1 - anyone have shorter filler neck/cap?

#2 - tank suggestions? I do like to be able to tell fuel level, hate to lose that option.

anyone got any help/suggestions? need all the expert building advice i can get, thought i was going to be ready for testing.....

Thanks

I assume you put the hood on and it hits.. How much room you need?
If it's minimal, For now you might heat the tank area around the filler neck with a heat gun and reform the area down into a small dish so to speak to allow the clearance you need. Looks like you only need to heat the front section to allow the cap to sit flat

Since the fuel cap is eccentric to the filler neck bore, try rotating the whole thing 90 degrees and pointing the barbed fittings toward the side of the ski. That might create enough room for you.
