I dont but it is heavy sob for detailing compared to the makita. Either of the two are the best buffers.

Just make sure when you use the buffer, that you are constantly moving on the gelcoat as the buffers high speed creates heat. Too much heat in one area can burn through the gelcoat, but this is usually only done if a person stays in the same spot for seconds at a time at a higher than normal speed.

Id recommend 1200-1500 as a safe speed, or a tad higher if you feel like you have the hang of it.

PERFECT for you... only thing is, that handle blows. They make other you can buy. I often use it with no handle on it, especially in tight spots. This is an awesome deal. If you search around with the item number, you might even find it cheaper.

I've burnt up a Toshiba that was hours old, and i've gotten alot of cheap PERFECt condition buffers from yard sales, flea marlets, ect... they WILL not last.

You will not find a better buffer. I guarantee it.

Ive used that model when I detailed boats and it is wonderful as it starts out at 900 rpms.

Im still using my 20 year old makita that my dad gave me. Basically identical to the 9927, but it starts at 1500 rpms. Still won't quit and runs very strong!!!

I also have 2 older Makitas... the older boxy type. The guy I work with likes them more than the newer style. One is my back up, and one is for parts for the back up. :D

managed to pick up a porter cable polisher locally...guy said he only used it twice, and by the looks of it he is right. Its really clean and I only ended up spending 60 bones. Not to bad if you ask me, around here they go for $200 brand new.
