The die grinder....was it angled? How long were the shanks?

I ask because I have some trouble with a Dremel and right angle attachment to get consistent angles.

Did you widen the transfer tunnels before putting the sleeves in?
(Did you do any port work prior to sleeve instal?)

I didn't have to modify the tops of the transfers because they lined up with the sleeves perfectly. If I had to do it again I would widen the transfer tunnels before I pressed in the sleeves. I have a couple of shanks for my die grinder that are about six inches long. I actually put them in a cordless drill at low speed to modify the tunnels. I could control the drill a lot better than the die grinder. It took a lot of time.

Nice project. You've given me ideas.

I have a 61X cylinder with busted sleeves, but the transfer port roofs have been messed with.
I may need to look for an unmolested stocker.

While were at it :p

Dit it end up being a freestyle cylinder or surf ?
