Super Jet 'Bubble' In super jet tray

I completed my foothold install last winter and now of coarse I have to help my friends do theirs. After looking at a riding partners SN tray with no turf it seems that tray has separated from the top of the pump shoe area leaving a big 'bubble' that you can press down on. Is this something that needs to be fixed while we are cutting on it or maybe a sign that his foam is water logged? Its his first SJ and I dont think he plans on keeping the hull forever so maybe we need to do nothing to it. Any suggestions are appreciated.

if its a moveable bubble .. I would address it .
you will be glassingin footholds anway, so why not do it now , just grind or cut the bubble out and see what the prob is ,wet foam should not cause this , it may or may not be dry.if the SMC( bottom deck material) has seperated you can replace it with new glass.
was there glass work there before?

image.jpgHad my friend send me a picture this is the only one he had I doubt you can even see anything but I'm gonna cut this thing soon. Its about the size of a big shoebox on the flat part of the tray. What would be the best way to attack it. Cut out and fix the bottom first and let it dry then cut the holds or just cut it all at once?

When I cut it all at once should I epoxy and screw the holds in first then re-glass the tray over the bottom of the footholds? I ran 2 layers of biaxal on my tray that went into the holds but I didnt have to do any repairs like this. Thanks again
