Well like the title says i went to remove my midshaft on my winter build(91 square) and snapped one of the bottom ones flush with the insert.Sometimes i swear i don't know my own strength. I managed to drill through the bolt and use an ez-out but guess what?? Yup broke that off too and we all know how hard those are to drill through. Since i am installing footholds and doing a re-foam i was thinking i could get to the back of it after the foam is out. My question is have any of you guys ever tried removing the stock inserts and does anyone sell those. Help!!

since youll be tearing your tray apart and doing a refoam, you could cut the area of the tray above it and get to it from the backside of the firewall. just lose the whole insert and glass a tapped piece of 1/2" aluminum for a new "insert".

Haha i know right....and guess what? I know for a fact that this hull has not been in the water for three years and the foam was wet!!! I did spend a good half hour at the carwash a few days ago sprayin and scrubbing this thing clean but i doubt that had too much to do with it(ok maybe a little). Cut the tray and got most of the foam out this afternoon. Taking a little break but i hope to have it all out tonight. REFOAMING SUCKS !!
Guess there's the final shove to re-foam!!! Everything happens for a reason.
