Bpipe vs. Riva Red - Need Advice

I need some advice from everyone.

I have a lead on a bpipe (I think it's still available  ) and I currently have a Riva Red.

My setup consists of:

61x cases
61x ported cylinder by Tim Judge
lightened flywheel
epoxied intake
hot rods crank
Riva Red
Single 44 (150 or 145 main, 120 low, 2.0 n+s)

Last year towards the end of the season I found out that I was limiting my water supply to the engine and shooting most of the water overboard (not on purpose). I have since tapped for dual cooling on the pump and manifold. I am aware that a wetter pipe will add low end as opposed to a dry pipe. I always felt there was a good bit of low end left in my motor, but don't get me wrong, it did rip. I have also ordered an ADA head (33 cc's) to bump up the compression because my ported cylinder only netted me 160psi with the old non-girdled protec head (35cc's). I also plan to rejet the carb slightly. I know I was rich.

My question is, should I spring for the bpipe (a la big bucks) or just run the riva red.

I have used the Riva Red - and I think I would go for the B-Pipe if I had the money.
I wouldn't normally advocate this, but I was not impressed by that Riva Red.

youre going to need the mounts on the top of the head for the red pipe. i like the power delivery of the red.... but its so heavy, in the way, and a pain in the azz.

as long as you install the red pipe properly, its a reliable pipe.

the b pipe is still the shizz

I do have the mount already. I'm just on the fence at the moment what I should do. Basically everything that you said about the riva pipe I agree 100%. Power is great, but it is heavy (probably caused my cylinder to crack in the first place last year) and you always have to pull the pipe to pull the head. It is a biatch.

I like the simplicity of the b-pipe as far as mounting and such. We spoke earlier about this today... IMO buy the b-pipe, run it and compare.

If you end up not satisfied with the gains, then sell it. You can get your money back. b-pipes are worth their weight in gold these days no?
