the fiberglass ones last longer than the carbon ones. They will re-seat onto the cages better. The carbon ones wear out pretty fast.
 
If the ski has to crank a little more to fire up even when warm and if you have issues trying to dial in the low speed or not being able to obtain a smooth idle.

Copy. So idle basically goes to crap. Good to know. Thanks man. Will there be any noticeable changes in conditions when on the throttle?

I have never seen a metal reed break on a yamaha.
I only use v-force reeds in engines I build. I have found boysen to wear out way to fast for the dollars spent
