boyeson reeds for 61x

so, the reeds in my 61x engine arent sealing off, I can see daylight under them.

ive got a set I bought a while back, but they are 2 large petals instead of 4 individual petals.

they are the correct part number according to rivayamaha for a 61x boysen reed.

but they are different than stock, and differtn from the carbon reeds that are currently on there.

is this ok?

a trick i learned a while back was to turn over the stock reeds if you see a little light through them. but since you have new reeds it might be a good time to replace them. the boyeson reeds you have are the correct ones. they do look different than stock.

I tried turning over the carbon reeds that are there, they still wouldnt seal.

ive got some stock steel ones that seal up, or the new boyesens.

thanks for the confirmation on the reeds, that thru me for a loop, they fit, they just look and work slightly differnt.

and your punctuation was spot on as well.

The first time i installed Boyeson reeds it kind of threw me off as well. They look alot different.
