Bought me a new toy

After trying to read several of my ebooks on my droid x2 and damn near going blind in the process I decided to look into the e readers. I was originally going to get a kindle fire. Then I started looking at the tablets and finally settled on a Motorola xoom. 32 gig internal storage with an micro sd card slot. This thing is slick. Picked me up a Bluetooth Logitech keyboard( a must for tablet users). I also picked up a neat little program that lets me log into any of my desktops, nas, and laptops remotely. Anybody else rock a tablet? Any apps you cannot live without?

Right on very cool! Ive heard good things about the Xoom. Android FTW.

I had a Lenovo K1, it was very very buggy. Lenovo did not work out all the kinks in it. It updated several times but the browser would constantly freeze, back light wouldent turn off, ect. I eventually sold it and got my money back.

It was fun to sit on the couch and browse the web. I might get another someday, but not anytime soon.

Last week I bought the wife a nook color ($170) and rooted it. I made it a full functional tablet and haven't been able to put it down myself.

Best part of rooting IMHO, running a firewall to keep all those apps from sharing your info.

I won a G-Slate. Played with it for a little bit, the 3d camera's were cool. Lost interest rather quickly. Its a Giant iPod hooked up via hdmi to the TV and home theater system now. Also fun to take on planes and play with now and then.

I'd rather pack around the couple extra pounds on my MBP.

I have a xoom as well. I really like it, use it 2 hours a day for commuting. Not bad for browsing while on the couch either :) Unfortunately i have the 3g version and verizon is holding my ice cream sandwich upgrade hostage for some reason...
