I removed a side exhaust and installed a rear exhaust on my B1 last winter. To my surprise the lower deck in both locations was only 1.5mm thick. I realize the hull has survived the last 20 yrs and I've been told that's its still a very solid hull but, I've recently set it up for playing in the waves and I'm concerned its too thin and may require reinforcement. That being said, I would prefer not to go through all the effort of reinforceing and added weight if this is normal. I know there have been a ton of rear exhaust conversions done, is this thickness normal?
