Boring the Stock SJ Nozzle

I had my ski back on the water yesterday for the first time since I bored the nozzle. The ski has much better throttle response and revs much faster. I am able to jump the ski considerably higher and harder. The decrease in pump pressure has not caused any cavitation and I did not notice any drop in top end, although I am sure I did loose some. The GPS will tell the story.
I would say it is a great mod that should be added to the list of firsts.

I have the necessary equipment, so I did it myself. A local machine shop could do it for you cheap.

this is just boring out the tappered part of the reduction nozzel to 85mm right?

Correct, you only need to bore down to the siphon boss. Look at the picture I posted on the first page.

ok I see now. so just bore it from thesiphon back 85mm.
