Bored 62t case Question and Stroker Spacing Question

#1 My 62t cases were bored out to accept the Bigger sleeve of the Lamey. Now that I am not using the lamey I am wondering if my performance would be hindered by the gap between the sleeve and the case. I am using the stock 61x cyl. Anyone need a set of bored ported 62t cases and have a stock set to trade?
#2 I also have a 61x cyl that was supposidly setup for a 5mil stroke. How can I tell if I need to run the spacerplate between the cases and cyl or just cut domes? The exhaust port seems to be @ 2mm higher than stock.

Don't worry about it Paul, cases are fine! I would epoxy up the floors of the intake port some and that will help. R&D does make some case stuffers, I'm sure if you can find them somewhere if you don't want to epoxy them.

Thanks Chucky, I will look into those case stuffers because I dont know how much I trust epoxie in the intake tract of my motor... Any comments as far as spacing for my cyl with the stroker crank? I can take measurements if necessary.

Paul, Sounds to me like you need to cut domes. Pre-assemble the 5mm engine, put the pistons in and cylinder on, bolt the cylinder down with the stock bolts, order like a small degree wheel to bolt up to crank, use a hard piece of metal strapped down with a headbolt and put across piston top and use as a positive stop to get a pointer adjusted for true TDC on the degree wheel. Remove the stop and turn motor over and count the duration degrees of open timing that all your ports are set at and right them down and PM me and I'll go through them with you...
