What can I use to fill the vent holes on my sqaure hood? I epoxied some lightweight marine plywood in (from the bottom), and on one side, I used some leftover peanut butter to give it a start, but dont want to use expensive epoxy to fill it all the way (its about an 3/16 of a gap). What will bond to the epoxy peanut butter (I used wood flour) that I've already put in there, and the wood, and the hood material with of course not adding too much weight?

I have some of the evercoat for marine, but was worried since it was polyester based that it wouldnt bond all the way.

(BTW, Idok if you read this, the liquid nails was a real b**** to remove! Had to grind it out with some 10 grit floor sanding discs)

Yea, but Scott 'got ahead of himself' and didnt cover the vent holes, so I'd like to get rid of the ghetto duct tape

yea but the question is, will bondo (which is polyester based) bond to epoxy? I doubt it, thats why I havent tried it. Polyester cant bond with epoxy by my understanding.

EDIT: I'm going to my wholesaler source for epoxies and industrial stuff sometime this week, she knows her stuff, and will probably give me something good to fill it with.

sometimes when I get ahead of myself, Im really just blowing it off

Well, I had a pretty good feeling that was the case, but I chose the PC terms...

And yea, thats what I had figured, you can go epoxy on polyester, but not the other way around, once you hit the epoxy, its epoxy all the way.
