Custom/Hybrid Bolt size for 140mm Kawi grate (rear)

I have a 140mm pump in my FX1 and the rear bolt for the intake fell out. I pulled up a diagram for a 650sx and it labeled the bolt as a 6x12 so I bought a M6x12 and it was a good bit too small. I bought the Kawi pump used so its possible it was drilled and tapped larger, but does anyone know what the stock size is?
My jet ski is a good bit away from the nearest parts store and main house so trying various bolts wasnt an option the other day when I was at the lake.

Stock is the 6mm......sounds like someone stripped it out and tapped a larger thread to repair. You could use a heli-coli to bring it back to correct.

It would be cheaper to re tap it. Stock bolt size is. M6 x 1.0 x 12

Alright, thanks guys. I was thinking that may have been the case.
Ill just grab all the loose bolts I have and take them with my and try and find one that fits.
If that doesnt work I guys its time to take my ski home and fix it. Ive got some odd and end fixes to do to it before July 4th anyways

next metric size up from 6mm is 8mm. could have been tapped to 1/4" NF or NC. thats what i would have done.
