bogging down

hey guys, just had a general question. my SJ is bogging down after short periods of idle. It is tuned fine because when i get the residual burned off it hits like a bat out of hell. would it be beneficial to run hotter plugs? i am running standard BR8ES plugs. would going to a BR7ES help this?

No, but tuning the carbs right would help.
Sounds like your popoff pressure may be too low or the low speed adjusters may be too rich (as already suggested).
What is you setup and how are the carbs jetted?

high comp head, 35cc domes, dual 48mm riva pro series, moto tassinari carbon reeds, ported by protec, stock bore and stroke. not sure off hand what the jetting and pop off is, but we got our suggestions from paul lehr, and we was pretty spot on when we were first starting out

Sounds to me like the popoff may be too low, causing a rich condition at prolonged idle. Try raising it and compensate by increasing pilot jet size.
