I used to run KN FA's on my Novi Dual 42's. I decided to put the stock airbox back on and Tune the adjustment screws a bit to get it dialed in right i also cut the trumpets out of the box to increase air intake. I went to ride and it ran a little crappy and then fell on it's face it didnt shut off but would not get up and go when i jumped on the throttle, it would just fall on its face. After a big carb adjustment it takes some time for it tom adjust. So i took a plug reading, rear cylinder lean. I run it a little longer and took another plug reading when i pulled out. The plugs were perfect dark brown and moist. I fired it up on the trailer and reved right up. So i dropped the ski back in the drink and ran great kept bogging only minor, then finally run great from idle to top end speed. So i rode for bout an houor tearing it up then towards the end it began bogging a bit. Any ideas, could have been low fuel but there was still about 1/4 or less in the tank, i do run the blowsion fuel filler which really don't reach as far as stock. My question is would a carb adjustment like this take a while of runnning like crap before the carbs adjusted to the new settings. My ski is an 05' SXR? Just curious to see what everyone else thinks, after i toppped up fuel and started it, it reved up great an ran fine even when l flushed it, it reved up great. Any thoughts?
