Bobs Gen 2 Glass Good or Bad

I'm looking for input on the Glass Gen 2. I do a lot off surf and would like to know if they hold up.

There should be many threads on this. From what i have seen its hit and miss, look over the hull good before purchase.

I would also try and ride one in the surf before purchase as well. I have ridden a Gen 2 and it wouldn't be high on my list for a surf hull.

As stated above, some hulls have been hit or miss, be sure to check over the hull and be ready to reinforce if you decide to go with a Gen 2

as stated, hit and miss. i think fiberglass was good more than bad. i wish my bob was glass, it would be a really fun hull for big aerials in the surf. bobs are a learning curve keeping the nose down, once you got it, you got it

I've got a surf Layup Gen 2 with front foothold . It was Christian Youngs BOB. It is super strong . I'm thinking about selling it if you are interested

I loved my Gen 2 for surf. It was glass and weighed 130 lbs and held up to all kinds of abuse!

Here is the hull right after I painted it a couple of months ago. its a complete ski 710cc brand new top end, mild port, Bpipe , new driveshaft new midshaft, UMI pole. I just need to turf the rails. I havent added up what I have into it but i am thinking 8,000.obo

do you have a donor ski already and just want a hull? if you want a rtr ski, $8k is about as cheap as you can get with an A/M ski.
