Other BOB Gen1 or Gen2

What do you guys think about the two. I am thinking about buying one but I am trying to figure out what Gen. would be better mostly for flat water but the occaional trip to the surf. I have already read the write up on the Gen1, but I am just wondering about Gen2. Any thoughts would be great.

We no longer offer the Gen1, so if you were to buy new, Gen2 would be your only option, unless you find a used Gen1.

As for my personal preference, the Gen2 is much better. Nothing beats the adjustable foot holds. The set back pump really help it handle as well. The Gen1 is a nice hull, but I like the Gen2 much more. It's always best to try out an aftermarket hull before you buy one, though.

If you've never ridden a BOB, I highly recommend you seek out a test ride first. Some guys really like the BOB's but they don't ride anything like a superjet.

I don't mind man, as long as you treat it nice. Cause if you break it i'll have to kill you....and we don't want that. I'll let you know when you can come take it for a spin

Pumps further back are always a plus as long as the intake track moved back as well. Also, the GEn 2 has the awesome mini hood like the XFS Rickter, I REALLY like that idea but have yet to had to work on one with that design. If the adjustible holds are anywhere near as nice as the Rickters then that will be a HUGE plus as well.
Cant speak for the ride but the changes made were definately for the good.
