boat wake 360?

I may be use to it because 99.9% of the waves I hit are boat wakes but EVERYTHING I have tried to do except for the backflip is easier for me off of a 40-50 footers wake.

Good luck on the flat spin 360 man! I want to try and get that down this year but haven't decided if the risk of breaking an ankle is worth it or not yet.

You can always not put your feet in the footholds too if thats your worry...

but if you plan on trying backies and rolls - they are alot safer with footholds. a 350 pound ski landing on you hurts:crutches:

without foot holds you are VERY limited to tricks. you will not be able to a barrel roll, backflip or a 360 without them.

:bsflag:

I would like to argue this. I have hit the wakes off of ski boats this past week that were actually setting me up with wakes. it was totally sweet. Probably a 2 foot size and i tried rolling after trying to do flatwater BRs all weekend. i got upside down and started rolling over once i hit the water. WITHOUT FOOTHOLDS. this was on a stock 750sx.

you don't need holds to have fun, but they do help.

I was trying these last weekend in the surf (3-5ft). I had one that was about 7/8ths around. Flat spin 360. they feel really cool. I just need to get the right tech on how to get the spin right. Do you lean over the front, put your weight to the back, etc.

Now i've only rode a standup one and that was 8 years ago but.... weight forwardish but back enough to keep the pump hooked up, swing the bars one way at the lip and this will throw the tail end around the middle of the ski. turn your eyes/head/body into the turn and ride it out.

well coming from the BMX world youre goin to want to turn your head/body/arms after youve turned your bars hard and pinned it through the trough of the wake/wave and keep your weight centered probably

I tried one this last weekend. (ski was running like crap and I was just going for it) Weight forward, basically tried to spin the ski off the wake. (Nick Barton I think has a video of him doing them in surf like this, so that's how I tried it) I didn't hit the wake square either. I hit the left boat wake heading in the opposite direction of the boat. I went 3/4 around and splatted. Spinning counter clockwise. Can't wait to try some more!

very nice. I'd like to learn the flat 360. I don't have holds thought, only the lifters on my ski. The hold my feet in pretty well, but every once in a while they will slip out. I might put in holds this winter I haven't decided yet.
