Boat registration in GA

Just a reminder, if you try to register a boat in Ga and purchase it out of state you must have a notarized bill of sale and the current registration card. If you purchase it in state you must have the current registration card and a bill of sale. If you don't have these two items you are...... SOL . My brother has two skis that he can't register. Further more, Ga no longer handles their registration. As of today they are out sourcing it to a company in Maryland. I'm sure these people will go out of their way to help.........It is a shame that we are all "as usual" lowered to the lowest common denominator of human society due to theft.

out of state= notarized bill of sale and registration card "no exceptions"

In state = bill of sale and current card. If no card you must have a notarized bill of sale

Transaction Fees added to your registration fee (starting October 1, 2008)
Applications submitted by mail $8.00
Transactions on your computer, Internet $8.00
Transactions completed over the Telephone $10.00

Normally I've a fan of government outsourcing, but in this case it looks like the govt fees stay the same as they always were and we also get hit with the additional fees as shown above. I'm tempted to do all my future registrations by phone so I feel like they at least have to work for their money...

And to top it off, your bulldogs got their asses stomped by the Tide.

Just an awful time for you guys down there.

Bwaaaahaaahaahahaaa

Alabama is simple.

You take a piece of Toilet Paper, you right a Bill of Sale, you take it to the courthouse, you pay 14.00 and your done.

AS for GA loosing..... I'm really not a fan. My wife ;however, was NOT TO HAPPY .

Dr. show nuff as far as I'm concerned, the only good thing that ever came out of Alabama is I-20 east.

Bama beat GA? lol awesome!
UGA Has become a great university, but the Gawga trailer trash fan base here annoys the crap out of me. I'd rather see Tech win, but don't really care.
Makes me wanna say Roll Tide!

Anyone else notice that to top it off with the registration...the site is down and you can't register your boat between Sept. 25th and Oct. 1.

Sure - it's been a tough couple of weeks what with the gas shortage and the dawgs getting beat - but at least we don't live in Tennessee ( or Alabama )
:nana:

I'm a huge Dawg fan, but the Tide was better on the day. Maybe a few extra minutes would have made the difference, who knows. As for living in Tennessee, you bet I would. You have the mountains and the lakes, and I have met some wonderful people from those parts.
Keefer and my first White Castle ( do not attempt to eat them sober) always come to mind as does Moondance. ( now moved to TX)
Getting back on task "YES boat registration sucks in GA, I've been waiting 5 months for one of mine"

I know someone else who's having trouble registering. I wonder what I did so special the first time I registered my ski. It had never been registered in GA before though. I just went online, input my HIN#, stated it had never been registered in GA before and voila...print out your temp registration card.

I never posted it ,but wanted to thank everyone at the Smith Lake free ride for your hospitality. My wife and I felt very much at home even though we were the "new guys".
