Blowsion square pole spring

has anbody used one of these? i have put a lot of pole springs in but i have never struggled as much as i have with this one. i spent about 6 hours trying to get it in, finaly i figured it was just imposible and the spring was designed wrong. i ground down the L shape at the bottom to a straight edge. and then it went in fine with no problems and works great. i'm just wondering if anbody ever succesfully put the blowsion spring in without modifying it?

It holds the pole up really well takes almost all the weight off. i'm using an ac pole.
i just wish i had ground down the spring in the first place instead of wasting all that time trying to get it in.

1200, I would think that is what he means? compared to no spring it would seem to lift it a little and it is new, give it some time to settle maybe?

I did mine last year so I don't recall exactly but it went quick, I would say the pole not being stock might have something to do but they are pretty much designed the same in that area aren't they? also doesn't the L bend go at the top-inside the pole? like a kawi does?

heres a picture i ground the little L part down straight at the bottom. after that it went in in about 15min. the problem was the L shape kept hitting the cables and rubber boot , i couldn't get it to line up right to get the bolt in. maybe if i had another person helping i could have done it. although it still seems like it would have hit the rubber boot and cables. like i said though it does work very well. it holds the pole up from going all the way down, and i could lift it the rest of the way with my pinky it really makes the pole weightless. maybe they changed it from the ones they used to sell?

check out my pic in my sig - both of those machines have aftermarket blowsion springs in them. See any diff on the RN vs the square?

I struggled with this last season for hours. Then it turned out I was doing it wrong. I had another set of eyes look at it and he got it in in ten minutes.
