Blowsion Sj pole spring?

i am so glad this thread came up i must have a dodgy spring to but i just thought it was how they were designed so that the pole gos right down in the surf i just thought i would not buy one again but a few of my mates have comented that there blowsion spring sits up and mine dose not may be i should call john as thats who i always deal with :dunno:

DJyox, its a different spring for yours, check out blowsions website.

Cambo, I would give John a call maybe mention this thread and tell him that you though that was the way it is supposed to be till you heard about this, that way he doesnt think there is a ton of people trying to get free springs.

From what John told me one way to tell (usually) is that the coils have a bit larger spacing which takes away some tension once installed, here is the pic from blowsion's site and a pic of mine.

Well I got the new one from John today, looked the same upon first glance. I was looking at them a little bit more right before I put it in and found that the new (good) spring had a small ID on the coils than the bad one. Threw it in put it all back together and WOW. The pole doesnt even rest now it sticks straight up! I push it down and its like a damn catapult, I tightened up my pole bolt a bit and that really helped, it now stays where you put it but moves freely NICE!! Thanks John and the guys at Blowsion for helping me out.
