FX-1 Blowsion Pole Spring

When I installed this spring a few months ago it made the pole stand up like a rocket... I know thats what the spring is designed to do but I was wondering if anyone had a way of relaxing the spring to a more neutral position. Im afraid to take a torch to it and screw it up.

I hated the way the Blowsion spring lifted the pole. I've heated them with some success but they usually break in short order. I've also had some success with strapping the pole down while stored and the spring eventually relaxes a bit.

My final solution for both of my skis was to toss the blowsion spring and put in a new stocker from ebay (10 bux).

i like the wamiltons spring, lifts the pole about midway, not str8 up. i can see that being annoying.

I love the blowsion spring. I almost have to fight it to stay down!!

Yea I love the spring, it feels great when riding as if the pole isnt even there. Its the fact that Im always reaching for it when I let go of the pole. I might have to try the wamiltons... Right now its straped all the way down like what special was sayin so we'll see.

leave the cover on it over the winter and the spring will weaken a lot. then it won't stay pinned vertical.
